Recycled Rides-National Auto Body Council
- Recycled Rides is a unique program in which insurers, collision repairers, paint suppliers, parts vendors and others collaborate to repair and donate vehicles to deserving individuals and service organizations in communities around the country.
- Over 1,500 vehicles have been donated nationally since their inception 10 years ago.
- Thanks to the support of so many companies, teams and individuals, this program has had a pay-it-forward ripple effect that has made positive impacts in the lives of so many in need.
- The Auto Club is proud supporter of this program and had the privilege of attending this special two car give-a-way on September 25, 2017 at Mission Viejo Auto Collision.
Our Recycled Rides recipients are two families battling childhood cancer.
Stacey and Erik Rees joined today to share the story of their 11 yr. old daughter Jessie, who lost her battle with cancer in 2012. The Jessie Rees Foundation Mission Statement: We fulfill our mission by CONNECTING with families, bringing AWARENESS to their stories, offering them helpful RESOURCES and sending the entire family continual doses of ENCOURAGEMENT throughout their journey. NEGU – Never Ever Give Up! Jars of Joy was started by Jessie to bring joy & toys to cancer patients in the hospital.
Kaitlin Sandeno and Nick Punto presented Sidney with her Joy Jar when she was first diagnosed. Kaitlin is an Olympic gold medalist in swimming. Nick is a former professional MLB player. They came today to give her a Joy Jar with keys to her Honda.
